Help Shape the Future of Volunteering in Gladstone

Join the Volunteering Advisory Committee

NFP House is calling for passionate community members to join a new advisory committee that will help guide the future of volunteering across the Gladstone region.

This committee will:

  • Provide local insight into the cultural and geographic influences affecting volunteer participation
  • Support corporate volunteering initiatives, including upcoming Olympic-related opportunities
  • Inform the State of Volunteering report with on-the-ground knowledge
  • Map volunteer-involving organisations across the region to improve access and engagement
  • Advise on the next steps of the Volunteer Queensland project, which aims to:
    • Encourage greater participation from young people, migrants, First Nations people, vulnerable women, people with disabilities, and job seekers
    • Connect individuals with volunteer opportunities via a dedicated Volunteer Manager Coordinator and a Volunteer Portal
    • Partner with local organisations to ensure they’re ready to welcome and support new volunteers
    • Committee members will also help align national Volunteer Standards with NFP House’s best-practice framework, strengthening the volunteer experience across the region.

This is your chance to:

  • Influence real change in the volunteering space
  • Support inclusion and community connection
  • Help shape a sustainable and thriving future for local volunteers and organisations

If you’re community-minded and passionate about volunteering, express your interest today at NFP House.
