Volunteering is changing. People want different ways to contribute their time and skills, while community organisations are under increasing pressure to attract and retain volunteers.
This project will bring local organisations, government, industry and the volunteering sector together to look at what already exists, what is working, where the gaps are and how we can make volunteering easier and more sustainable.
You will also work across NFP House’s other projects, including organisational health checks, capacity building, volunteer engagement, workshops and stakeholder engagement.
What you’ll be doing

- Supporting community organisations with governance, planning and organisational improvement.
- Facilitating workshops, training and capacity-building activities.
- Supporting volunteer recruitment, engagement and matching.
- Representing NFP House at meetings, events and community activities.
- Monitoring project outcomes and making sure funded projects deliver what they set out to achieve.
We are looking for someone who:
- is good at bringing people and organisations together
- understands the not-for-profit, community or volunteering sector
- can work independently and take responsibility for getting things done
- is practical, organised and resourceful
- communicates well and can write plans, reports and other project documentation
- can see opportunities and turn them into practical action
